The motor has 250 Watts. - This is the maximum under EU Regulation. Speed with Motor Assist is restricted to 25 kph as per EU Regulation at which stage Motor Assist will cut out. Speeds in excess of 25kph can still be achieved by pedal power alone as with a standard bicycle.
Our range has a Lithium ion battery of 36Volts. Ampere Hour varies depending on model from 7Ah to 20Ah. The battery takes 3.5 to 6 hours to charge with a company supplied charger.
Approx 750 charging cycles. Our warranty coverage is 2 years but most battery keep decent performance levels for 3/4 years. Our Battery Cells are manufactured by Panasonic, Samsung, LG, RKS or LiShen
How long is a piece of string. A fully charged battery's range depends on the size of the battery, the level of power assist used, the terrain and the weight of the rider. Range varies between 30km and 100km depending on e-Bike model and power assist used. Some eBike will claim up to 120km but this is not achieved in real life conditions. A good average indicator on a full battery is 40km to 80km.
Pedelecs in Ireland are legal for road use in Ireland by any person over 16 years of age. There is no licence, tax or insurance requirement by law. We do recommend the use of a cycling helmet and hi-viz and lighting requirements as with a standard bicycle.
A full charge costs approximately 12 cents (0.25 units).
Our e-Bike range are certified to carry 100kg to 150kg depending on the model.
